Greg Liss - SVP of Sales at KIND Financial

Greg Liss is the SVP and leader of KIND Financial’s global sales efforts.  For over 20 years Greg has developed his financial sales and marketing expertise. Starting at Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. in 1993, Greg Liss helped Gannett Inc. (NYSE:GCI) to launch the first commission-only sales force in metropolitan newspaper history – which ultimately became the template for national newspapers to more efficiently manage their sales operations. During his three years at GCI, Greg was top 5 in production and helped triple the advertising participation and revenue generated from his sales territory.

In 1996, Greg moved to New York to pursue an opportunity with On-Site Trading as an equities trader. Greg obtained his Series 7, 63, 55, and 24 licenses, and by 1998, was responsible for proprietary capital exceeding $7MM. After growing his account to $15MM+, Greg transitioned back to Philadelphia and used his trading skills to help grow a public company that had a seat on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX).  In 1999, Greg joined Ashton Technology Group in Philadelphia as the head sales trader with his own individually assigned seat on the PHLX. Greg led the sales trading desk managing institutional client relationships, while also trading to support revenue. During his tenure sales and trading revenues both doubled.

In early 2003 Ashton was sold, and in the fall of 2003 Greg Liss joined The Valley Forge Companies (“Valley Forge”), and became a Financial Advisory Principal. Greg became a Partner in 2006, helping high net worth business owners and entrepreneurs on wealth transfer, estate planning, business succession and charitable planning. At Valley Forge, Greg consistently exceeded life insurance production targets, and in 2010, his life insurance expertise was highlighted in Pacific Life Insurance Company’s Annual Report. As a Principal with Valley Forge Investment Consultants and Valley Forge Private Equity, Greg contributed to the success of a series of Private Equity Funds that annually achieve top quartile results. As a result of their ongoing performance, Valley Forge Private Equity was recognized as a Top Performer by Prequin, the alternative assets industry’s leading source of data and intelligence. Through the Fund of Funds model Greg has worked with diverse private equity firms pursuing investments and investors, and has a detailed knowledge of transaction execution, financing expertise, and critical strategies and insights gained from his experience.

Greg Liss graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in Business Administration and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 55, and 24 securities designations. Greg is a Founding Member of the National Museum of American Jewish History, and participates in various charitable activities. He resides in Ardmore with his two children and enjoys coaching their sports teams.
